Preliminary Project - Problem Pages' Conventions and Style Features

Conventions and Style Features:

• Headings - Bold, feminine, curved font, inviting, not harsh.
• Images - Friendly, counsellor to comfort the reader and encourage submissions. Image related to one article (not always main) printed, to aid description or provoke emotion in reader (e.g. sympathy).
• Layout - Name of page displayed at top. Page split into various sections (three +). Introduction to agony aunt displayed under headings. Page number and email address for submissions displayed at bottom.
• Colour scheme - Soothing, feminine; pinks, purples, white, light blue and orange. Black or white text (depending on white or coloured background).
• Content - Queries with counsellor reply displayed underneath. One has sections such as 'fact or fiction' and 'celebrity clinic' that are obviously regularly featured.
• Language and puntuation - Exaggerated, emotive, formal, lets readers know that the counsellor is being serious and truthful in their replies.
